Description
Therapeutic massage is a general term that describes any type of massage modality that helps relieve pain, reduce stress, increase range of motion and work on a specific problem—such as a frozen shoulder, Sprains, strains, tears, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and many more.
People tend to assume therapeutic massage means deep tissue massage, and that they will get a very strong massage. But this is not always the case. Deep tissue massage is great at breaking down scar tissue, to release muscle tension and getting your blood circulating, but it may not be what you need on a particular day.
At MAHALO we consider all of our Massage Therapy Treatments to be Therapeutic. Your time and resources are valuable, so we pride ourselves in ensuring you get a treatment that gets results and meets your needs. We understant that each treatment is unique and each visit may address differents health conditions. What you have to said, what you feel and how you see your treatment plan, is important for us.
Whether it is a swedish, sports, myofascial release, orthopaedic, cupping, hot stone, youth massage or prenatal massage, you will experience the therapeutic benefits of increased circulation, decreased muscle tension, decreased stress and an improvement of your general wellbeing. We promise you won't leave feeling like you have paid to have you skin moisturized, although that is an added bonus!
Therapeutic massage involves the manipulation of the soft tissue structures of the body to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm, and stress. This type of session may include a relaxation element to it but advanced techniques for pain and chronic health issues.
Depending on your condition, treatment goals and treatment plan, your Massage therapist may want to see you frequently for the first few sessions.
